Everyone’s favourite moustachioed potato actually originated in the 1950s where it was sold as pronged body parts that were used in conjunction with a real potato. Maybe if enough of us ask Mr Retro, they'll add layer and color palette support for Affinity Photo. Mr Potato Head was certainly less advanced than the Furby, but was nonetheless one of the most popular 90s toys in production. You can select color's of ink using the color picker, but You need to have the color you want to use on the screen. Also the color palette doesn't work which means you can't select the color of paper. I guess Photoshop actions and Affinity Actions being what they are, the PP plugin cannot create separate layers for the effects it applies in Affinity Photo. There are a couple of very important exceptions with Permanent Press. I reported my findings and he sent me newly complied version of PP (without the debugging mechanism).Īll this to say that there will be an updated version of the Mister Retro Permanent Press Plugin that works with Affinity Photo up on Mister Retro's website soon.
Lo' and behold the debugger version worked. I politely disagreed and he sent me a debugger version of the plugin.
He escalated the support ticket to another tech who told me PP was working with AP. I told him I'd tried a number of different solutions and even though AP could see PP in the plugins folder and the plugin would run, when I clicked OK to apply the effects it would crash AP. They opened a support ticket and a tech contacted me and said he thought that Affinity Photo and Permanent Press should be working together.
Retro and left them the same message above.
